Area 1-S is one of the Smaller Areas within the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) with almost 4,600 players (boys and girls) ranging in age from 4 to 19 years old. Area 1-S consists of 45 regions each with its own board, including Pahrump, NV, Bullhead City, AZ / Needles, CA, Summerlin & Las Vegas , NV, Mountain's Edge, NV and surrounding communities. The Area 1-S operating revenue is generated by contributions from its regions and directly from AYSO.

Area 1-S and its Regions provide these activities:

For Players:

• 5U programs for players just starting their soccer experience.
• 6U through 19U core programs for boys and girls.
• EPIC (Everyone Plays In our Community, formerly VIP -- Very Important Player) for children through adults with mental and physical disabilities.
  
• Post season tournaments (Area League, Extra,  All-Stars) 
• Spring Season
• Summer Soccer Camps

For Volunteers:

• Coaching Program: Age specific training and certification for all coaches.
• Officials Program: Five levels of training and certification for referees
• Management Program: Training and certification for Regional and Area administrators and board members.
• Safe Haven training and background screening
• Kids Zone for proper and acceptable sideline behavior

Area 1-S Covers San Bernardino County, Southern Nevada, Bullhead Arizona.  

AYSO Area 1-S meets once a month and in an effort to ensure transparency in our operations, meeting minutes are available upon request.
